Aidite Rapid 5 – the wired intraoral scanner: 162 g, 25 mm depth of field, full arch in 60 seconds.
The Rapid 5 is Aidite’s wired intraoral scanner for dental practices – and, at 162 g, one of the lightest in its class. It is powered via USB-C from the computer, requires neither a battery nor Wi-Fi, and provides a stable connection without interruptions. A single jaw is scanned in around 25 seconds, and the full dental arch in approximately 60 seconds.
The optics and software are the same as those of the wireless Infinity 5: structured-light projection, a 25 mm depth of field for deep preparations, edentulous jaws and wide-span implant cases, accuracy of ≤ 10 µm on a single crown and ≤ 20 µm across the entire arch. No calibration required, with adaptive anti-fog heating and tips that can be autoclaved up to 100 times.
The button on both sides makes operation identical for both the upper and lower jaws; the motion sensor in the handpiece controls the 3D model on the screen without you having to touch a mouse or keyboard. You can export the scan data in open formats such as STL, PLY or OBJ – to any dental laboratory or CAD software, with no ongoing licence fees.
AI scan automatically filters out soft tissue and the tongue; metal, impression and model scans; HD photo; occlusion and undercut checks; mark preparation margins; edit and mount the model.

The health report summarises findings from the scan for the patient consultation. Via the Aidite Cloud, the case is sent to the laboratory at the click of a button, with case tracking, approval via code or QR code, and an optional design service.
Scan, generate model, slice, print – the one-click workflow sends the scan straight to the 3D printer, for example for splints, aligners or situational models.
Both scanners share the same optics, accuracy and software. The Rapid 5 is the lighter and more affordable choice for a fixed treatment room with a computer or Workstation – no need to change batteries, no reliance on Wi-Fi. Those who move between treatment rooms or prefer no cables at the chair should opt for the wireless Infinity 5.
If you do not wish to connect the scanner to an existing computer, it is available as a complete system on request: the mobile Workstation features a 23.8-inch 4K touchscreen, Windows 11, RTX 4060 graphics, 32 GB RAM and a battery for around eight hours’ operation – unpack it, switch it on, and it’s ready to use.
