The MEDIT i700w – the speed and precision of the i700, now wireless.

The MEDIT i700w is still the same super-fast, lightweight and precise scanner as the i700 – just without the cable. Two high-speed cameras deliver up to 70 frames per second, video-based scanning with 3D-in-Motion video technology captures more data in less time, and the precise full-colour scans reliably distinguish tissue, plaque and tooth structure – with a full-arch accuracy of 10.9 µm (± 0.98). Scanning is powder-free with an LED light source. The wireless technology gives you complete freedom of movement without restrictions, and the reinforced impact resistance minimises damage caused by accidental drops.

The battery concept is designed for the working day: one battery enables 1 hour of continuous scanning and up to 8 hours in standby – enough for around 30 cases, and with the three replacement batteries supplied you can scan up to 90 cases without having to think about recharging. In addition, a cable battery unit is included, which powers the handpiece directly via the charger when needed. The wireless connection runs over 60 GHz for data transmission and 2.4 GHz for control; the Wireless Hub is simply connected to the PC via USB 3.1. The Switch & Scan function allows a scanner to be registered on several hubs – ideal for use in multiple treatment rooms.

In terms of handling, everything stays i700: the small scan head with a 45-degree mirror angle easily reaches the distal molar area, the tip that reverses through 180 degrees (autoclavable up to 150 times) adapts to every scan position, and the remote control mode operates the software directly from the treatment position. The integrated UV-C disinfection in the handpiece is also on board. At 328 g including battery and tip, the i700w stays pleasantly balanced in the hand.

The scope of delivery includes the easy-to-understand software platform Medit Link – without annual licence fees. The scan software automatically aligns the occlusion through a simple scan of the bite, individual areas can be locked so they are not updated during further scanning, and in addition to the 3D model data, 2D images can also be captured. As an open system, the i700w exports to STL, PLY and OBJ – for seamless further processing in exocad and any other CAD software. As an official MEDIT and exocad partner, we deliver the i700w ready for use: with installation, a suitable scan laptop and workflow training on request – financing or leasing included.
