It's All about the Surface – PANTHER Abutment Surface
The PANTHER family is taking on a completely new application area with the new PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit. The PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit enables a controlled, proven procedure for the correct design of submucosal surfaces on implant prosthetic abutments and bars in a two-stage process. A system was developed together with Carsten Fischer that not only clears the process-specific contaminants in the production of CAD/CAM abutments, but also provides targeted residual roughness of the submucosal areas. Initial studies show that surfaces created with the PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit provide improved tissue attachment and positive maturation of peri-implant mucosa. The PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit is a two-stage protocol for developing a mean surface roughness of Ra 0.21-0.40 μm and follows the traffic-light system for the classification of roughness in the basal area according to Fischer & Gehrke.
