With the new PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit, the PANTHER family enters a completely new field of application. In a two-stage procedure, the PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit enables a controlled, tested approach to the correct design of submucosal surfaces on implant-prosthetic abutments and bars. In cooperation with dental technician Carsten Fischer, a system was thus developed that not only removes the processing-specific contaminants arising in the manufacture of CAD/CAM structures but also produces a targeted residual roughness of the submucosal areas. Initial studies show that the surfaces created with the PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit lead to improved tissue attachment as well as a positive maturation of the peri-implant mucosa.
The PANTHER Abutment Surface Kit is thus a two-stage protocol for achieving a mean surface roughness value of Ra 0.21-0.40 μm and follows the traffic light system for classifying roughness in the basal area according to Fischer & Gehrke.
