The Aoralscan Elf by SHINING 3D delivers a lightweight, precision-driven scanning experience and enhances clinical efficiency and comfort in modern digital dentistry. Weighing just 106 g (without cable) and featuring an ergonomically shaped handle, you can scan without fatigue – boosting efficiency and patient satisfaction. A single plug-and-play Type C cable makes bulky adapters and cable clutter obsolete, and the three supplied, interchangeable scan tips (Large 19 × 14 mm, Standard 16 × 12 mm, Mini 12 × 9 mm) cover every clinical requirement from adult to paediatric jaw.
At its heart is IntelliBite: the combination of AI-driven occlusion analysis, intelligent 3D reconstruction and a smart tooth chart precisely restores the patient's actual occlusion and avoids crossbite and overbite risks that can arise from scanning deviations. This reduces remakes, optimises efficiency at the chairside and provides confidence in every treatment outcome.
The complimentary Intelligent Plaque Management Suite turns the Elf into a communication tool: high-resolution, colour-accurate 3D images visualise plaque deposits around teeth and gums, and advanced algorithms calculate the plaque proportion on the tooth surfaces for an objective assessment of oral hygiene. With the Smart Report comparison you can contrast the results of different visits, and you can share the digital reports directly with your patients via mobile – this increases PMTC acceptance and strengthens patient loyalty beyond the appointment.
With an accuracy of up to 0.05 mm (non-contact scanning with structured light) and open data output in STL, OBJ and PLY, the Elf integrates seamlessly into any digital workflow. Using the AI design service from SHINING 3D, highly precise crowns and models are created in just 60 seconds.
